Is It Vacation Yet?

Oh how I pine for the Christmas vacation. Thee are too far away from thy present. Please hurryeth.

Nothing going on really. Rachel gave a shot out for my blog, so I’ll give a shout out for hers. New post up about Presidential election stuff. Suppose I should go over there and make my voice heard!

Kevin has some snippets from his quickly growing library of work. The second post down on his site has a link to his myspace page. Go check out the stories. Some intense stuff!

I’ll go completely random on this post. So far the Dodgers haven’t made any big moves this off season, and I couldn’t be happier. We’ve got some amazing young players, so let them play.

Is it Christmas vacation yet?

Lunaverse

Chris has finally joined the blogging community, and the last myspace link can be removed from my page!

Also, I’ve started putting recently undead people at the bottom of my friends list, so other than family at the top, eventually the list should be an indicator of who has been alive the longest. Go visit Chris at the Lunaverse!

Blarg Radio

I would say that I was bored this afternoon, but that’s not really true. I actually had a lot of things I should have been doing, but instead I was playing around with adding music to the blarg. Now I know what you’re thinking…"oh stupid music that starts playing when I go to your website and I have to search fo the dumb thing so I can turn it off!" That might be how it works on whorespace, err, myspace, but I think you’ll like this system.

Over on the right is a small button which will expand when you move the mouse over it. Internet Explorer users need to click on it first and then it will start working. What this button will let me do is post music for people to listen to. If you want to listen, you can. If you don’t want to listen, you don’t have to. If you don’t, it should sit over there and stay out of your way.

Currently you’ll find three songs by three bands you’ve probably never heard of. Two of them I scoured the entire internet (that’s right, the whole thing) to find. The third one, by Rehasher, is a side band of the lead singer from Less Than Jake, at least one of them anyways. In the future, if I come across new songs I find interesting, I will now have the ability to post them for your listening pleasure.

Dying Blogs

A couple friends have died. Their funerals will be held soon. Theirnames are Chris and Curt. Granted, Chris has a MySpace which doesn’t really count in the first place, but he hasn’t updated it since early December. Curt hasn’t updated since the end of December. The only conclusion I could possibly draw from this information is that they are both dead.

I can already tell my posts on here will suffer due to my self-enforced media blackout that is preventing the spoiling of the Winter Olympics. Thanks to the DVR I can actually watch a lot more than I would usually…or at least more of what I really want to watch. Off to work.

Winter Session Day 3

It is day 3 of winter session, and I just ate hot dog #3. I’m starting to feel like that supersize guy. Maybe I could make a movie about eating hot dogs during winter session at csulb. It could be me eating hot dogs and posting on the blarg. Dang that would be exciting.

When I got home last night the Rose Bowl had just finished, but luckily Stacie left the DVR on. I skipped back to about 6 mins left in the 4th and watched the end. Holy Cow Vince Young is good. I heard something about Texas scoring a touchdown that shouldn’t have been one, but sounds like a good game.

Right now we’re doing dumb stuff in Excel. The people on both sides of me are posting on MySpace. WOW this is dumb.

The key to a good website is that people want to come back to it. Take www.foxnews.com for example. It’s probably updated every half-hour, so there is always something new to see. I try and update The Blarg! everyday so people have something to come back and see. Everytime someone goes to a site that hasn’t been updated since the last time they went, the length of time until their next visit is probably even longer.

If you visit my friends’ sites on the right, you’ll notice they aren’t very happening. Mike hasn’t updated in a month, Kurtis hasn’t updated since January, and I think Chris got a MySpace. Andrew hasn’t updated in two weeks, but he’s still recovering from school. Amy updates semi-regularly, and Paloma sometimes takes a week to post, but they’re super long.

I’ve almost been posting on this mostly pointless site for a year now, cool huh? This is really the second version of The Blarg!, which used to be on theburn.com. I think I transferred it over late 2004, and since then I’ve almost hit 5000 hits. WoW! I’ll have to make a super special post for the 5000th hit. Ok, this is boring.

Denise’s Haiku

Denise, my sister, has posted a new haiku poem on her myspace. You should really go read it, it’s quite amazing. And don’t forget to post a comment so she knows you looked.
