Odds and Ends…

I don’t have anything profound to say, so I will say many smaller and less profound things.

Chris Luna ditched me today to eat lunch with the Humberts. Then to his surprise I ate at the same place they did, ha!

In less than 3 weeks I’ll be married and in Hawaii. Yikes.

I find out in less than 24 hours if I passed my second math test and whether or not I’m qualified to teach.

Stacie won’t let me play “Welcome to the Jungle” for our entrance music.

The Dodgers suck, but I’m a real fan and like them anyways.

My new hard drive is still working, all 250 glorious gigabytes. I am filling it with old sci-fi shows that were only on for one season: Nowhere Man, Space Above and Beyond, and Earth 2.

Because Stacie won’t let me play “Welcome to the Jungle” for our entrance, I’m going to play it for the garter toss, ha!

That’s all, yay summer.

The Final Countdown!

There are officially three more weeks of complete and utter craziness left.

Week #1: This week is relatively quiet. No projects are due, and just one final exam to take. The problem is that week #2 is so crazy work is spilling into week #1.

Week #2: In the second week I have two presentations, two papers due (one being 10 pages), and two projects due. Beginning today I must kick it into overdrive to even finish all that before week #2.

Week #3: While not as busy, this is the last week leading into my second CSET Math test on Geometry. Several long days of studying this week will be in order.

And then, on May 21st at roughly 7 pm, it will all be over. School will be done with, the CSET will be done with, and I can move on to more exciting things. I can actually enjoy getting ready for the wedding, and working at our new townhouse. Just a little…bit….longer.

My Worst Rain Ever

Comments off

So this morning I drove out to Costa Mesa to finish a 5 class course on how to pass the CSET Math test. Well, on the way there it decided to rain…a lot.

I was headed south on the 605 to get on the 91 east, and it started to pour. Not only was the rain coming down in buckets, but then it started to hail. There was so much water coming down that even with my wipers on high, I couldn’t see a thing. Myself and every other car on the freeway came to a complete stop…not because of rush hour, or a traffic break…but just because there was too much water to see where you were going.

It was a really weird feeling just stopping on the freeway. I kept checking my rearview mirror because I was afraid someone would run into me, but everyone behind me was stopped too. People had even started pulling over to the side of the road. Later on I saw one car facing the wrong way on the freeway, and another car that had driven into an embankment off to the side. It was crazy. :)
