New HTPC Case With Pictures!

A guaranteed way to draw interest to your blog post is to include photos! Even if you have no idea what is going on here, you will ooooh and aaaaahhh at the pretty colors and shiny materials. Haha!

I made a previous post about how to setup a Home Theatre PC (HTPC) using Windows Media Center in Vista. Today I will show you pictures of my installation into a computer case that looks like it belongs under a TV.

Here is the finished project. The black box on the bottom is a computer! It makes a much better front page image than everything else will, so I will make you click after the jump to see the rest of the post. Enjoy!

Nothing too exciting going on here. Stacie’s car has a battery and ECM (Electronic Control Module) problem, so it’s in the shop. Luckily the ECM has a 7 year warranty, and her car is 6.5 years old. SCORE! But that means we’re a one car family for a couple days.

Yesterday I overdosed on caffeine. haha, no, not really, but I was so tired I went to bed at 7:30 pm. I feel like I’ve constantly been tired, so I’m back off the caffeine. We’ll see if it sticks this time, but the caffeine withdrawl headaches I’ve had all day are finally gone. :)

I built a HTPC, or “Home Theatre PC.” The idea is you hook up a computer to your television and do super cool nifty things with it. I’m still in the process of setting it up, so we’ll see how that goes.

Here’s a really good way to waste your time. Google made a game out of naming images on the internets. Proceed to waste time here.

I’m turning down “extra” jobs at work by giving the excuse that I’m having a baby and writing a book, so I better stop typing on this thing and work on the book.

I’m Still Here…

I’m still here…and still not very inspired. I’ve spent all weekend working on lesson plans and grading tests. On top of that I have beginning teacher "work" I have to do. It’s like doing college work, but even worse because you’re already done with college, and you’ve got people telling you that "NOOOO, you’re not done you idiot!!!"

I still don’t know what I want for Christmas…how about $600 to build a home theatre pc? my media player ran for 12 hours straight last night, so I have some renewed faith in the little box. I like books, so those always work. Hardcover only please.

I’m watching what the Dodgers do this off-season…so far there has been good and bad, but I’ve got faith in Ned. We’ve got more starting pitching than anybody in all of baseball.

Good to see UCLA beat USC…though I really don’t care. UCLA was one of my "maybe" schools back in High School, so I’ve got more love for UCLA than USC for that minor reason.

I miss Zelda. :(
