I forgot to mention this, but I finished the second book in A Song of Fire and Ice series. I started book 3…it’s over 1000 pages. :) I’ll post a review of the second book soon. In the meantime though I have to read a dumb young adult book for my adolescent development class.

I’m crossing my fingers that I passed the algebra CSET test…because tomorrow I start studying for the geometry test. Everything I learned about algebra will begin to go down the toilet.

Stacie and I booked our hotels and airfare for our whole honeymoon. That’s cool.

I’m now 27-31 in MVP Baseball 2005. I’ve been doing really well lately and probably need to bump up the difficulty, but I’m waiting until I reach .500. Hee-Sop is doing well, but Yhency is horrible. I demoted him to AAA. Scott Erickson was called up to replace Ishii too.

I just had a conversation with Paddy about how gaim is better than aim. His profile looked broken, and the following ensued:

Yup2That: b/c you use gay aim
nathan118: how are your ads?
nathan118: taking up half your screen? mmmm
nathan118: gay themes everywhere
nathan118: driving you nuts with big flashing eagles and crap
Yup2That: what?
Yup2That: they are not taking half my screen
nathan118: and the newest harry potter movie everywhere sending gay icons to you
Yup2That: it is taking the space of one buddy icon
nathan118: and dumb colors everywhere like some idiot broke their aim colors
nathan118: and stupid messages like “accept this gay buddy icon??????”
Yup2That: right
Yup2That: i’m going
Yup2That: see ya sunday
nathan118: ok aim

I so won. He was beyond confused to the point of sleep. There is no better way to defeat your opponent than by sheer confusion and idiocy. Yesssss!

I Fought the Math CSET….

…and I am fairly confident I won! I only need a 50%, and I’m pretty sure I got that. There were 30 multiple choice questions, and 4 written response. I answered 3 of the 4 written response very well, and I only guessed on 2-3 multiple choice questions. It was tough, but luckily the Orange County Department of Education test prep class got me ready. It was $180, and another $70 to take the test…but it beats taking 10+ courses in college.

Now this Friday I start the test prep class for the second subtest. That’s right, I’m only half done! However, I’ve heard the second test is a little easier. Here’s for hoping.

Bring on the Test!

Today, you and me CSET, bring it on!

I’m taking the CSET today, and I’m going to whoop it’s butt. I’m going in there to annihilate it. Only one of us is coming out alive, and that’s me!

All the studying is over, the waiting finally done, and the moment of truth is upon us. Who shall stand victorious at the end of battle? Whose name shall reign forever in the history books as the great conqueror of the CSET? Who will stand atop the bloody pile of massacred bodies at Magnolia High School in Anaheim where the CSET reigns? When the final hour on the clock has chimed and a quiet hush falls over all the land, who will stand as your new CSET king!?

I.

It’s baseball season again, and that’s always a good thing. I was able to watch bits and pieces of a spring training game today, and I got in a few games on MVP Baseball. I’m still trying to find a good difficulty level, but right now I’m 2-4 in my dynasty with the Dodgers. Good stuff.

Tomorrow I start my super CSET studying. I’m planning on putting in 4 hours tomorrow, and another 4 on Sunday. I put in an application at DUSD today to try and get hired for next year. It sounds promising, but that makes it even more important that I pass the CSET. I might be stressing too much about it, but I’d rather be over-prepared.

Stacie and I are still looking at condos and townhomes. It’s an odd predicament…on one hand it’s a little early to buy a place, but we’re also pretty specific about what we want. The danger then is sure we might get the place 3 months early…but that’s better than not finding a place at all. However, having it that soon would give us a lot of time to paint or whatever we want to do.

Everything for the wedding is shaping up pretty well. All our vendors are decided on, Stacie almost has the bride’s maid dresses picked, we’re looking at registries. Fairly soon we need to pick out invitations and I need to do some tuxedo shopping. Kurtis and Kevin are already wanting to know what we’re doing for the bachelor party. :D Any ideas?

Registry Fun

Stacie and I started looking at places to register. We decided we’ll walk through all the different places first and then pick one to actually register at. Yesterday we looked at the Robinson’s May Home Store…and it was ok. None of their bedding or plates excites us. They have towels in every color imaginable, but that’s not really the most important thing.

I’ve got a test in Adolescent Development on Tuesday, yay. I finally finish my test prepping for the CSET, so now I have to find time to study for it. I’m definitly more optimistic about it than I was a couple months ago. You really only have to get 50% of the questions right, so that makes it a little easier. I’ve got High School winter camp this next weekend, but after that is study time!

I want to see Constantine and eat Roundtable Pizza.

My Worst Rain Ever

So this morning I drove out to Costa Mesa to finish a 5 class course on how to pass the CSET Math test. Well, on the way there it decided to rain…a lot.

I was headed south on the 605 to get on the 91 east, and it started to pour. Not only was the rain coming down in buckets, but then it started to hail. There was so much water coming down that even with my wipers on high, I couldn’t see a thing. Myself and every other car on the freeway came to a complete stop…not because of rush hour, or a traffic break…but just because there was too much water to see where you were going.

It was a really weird feeling just stopping on the freeway. I kept checking my rearview mirror because I was afraid someone would run into me, but everyone behind me was stopped too. People had even started pulling over to the side of the road. Later on I saw one car facing the wrong way on the freeway, and another car that had driven into an embankment off to the side. It was crazy. :)

Crazy Schedule Crazy Schedule!

I have more CSET prep classes this weekend. I subbed everyday this week, then Monday/Wednesday night I was at church, then Tuesday/Thursday I had to go school. I have to wake up again in the morning for my last class and then I can finally breathe again. ::sigh::
