One Day Zombie

I did it…I went a whole month without a post…how sad. February was a short month though, so if I add an extra day to that month, then today would only be March 16th, and I wouldn’t be dead yet. Makes perfect sense.

Luke is three now! On one hand it feels like it has gone by fast, but on the other we see pictures of him at 6 months old and I can barely remember it. We’re getting the hang of going potty, which is great. We love Bob the Builder and fixing things!

Otherwise nothing too exciting is going on (guess that’s why I haven’t posted!). Now for some quick hits:

  • I have 29 unique Androids now between series 1 and 2. I’m missing two from this new series, but they’re chases, and will easily cost me $75 a piece on ebay. Meh.
  • I’ve been playing FF13 for 83 hours (and yes, I’m finally getting bored.) But I’ve got one or two trophies I’m soooo close to getting, haha.
  • Can’t wait for baseball season to start.
  • Running got a little sidetracked. Tweaked my back painting ceilings, so I wasn’t running as much as usual. I’m really going to have to push, but I think I can still reach my goal.
  • Almost done with Dexter – Season 1. Enjoying it very much.

Guess that’s all for now!

The Living and the Dead

Updated the living and dead links on the side. For the first time ever…the dead list is longer.

Darn you facebook and twitter for the laziness you’ve brought to social networking.

Kurtis is back from the dead, so good for him! He inspired me to get my layout more finished. I think it’s pretty good….though I’d prefer some kind of outline around the whole thing instead of the background just going on forever to each side. Smart people, tell me how.

More posts coming soon. Is bedtime.

The Android WordPress app came out with an update, and it said something about pictures, so I’m giving it a try.

You can’t put pictures in between text, only above or below. You can set a thumbnail width, center it, and an option for linking to the full picture.

I forget that I can blog anywhere now. When I’ve got two minutes to spare I need to make posts! Today’s post is an excuse to show Luke’s after daycare snack. A drink and cheese!

The Blarg Goes Mobile

Since I’ve been using an Android phone, I’ve grown to appreciate websites designed with mobile users in mind. There are a lot of options available for WordPress, but I decided to give WordPress Touch a try, and so far I really like it. I’m looking to move to a new theme here also. This theme was designed for something like WordPress 1.5.

If you’ve got a smartphone (iPhone, Android, etc), then head on over to www.theblarg.com to see the new mobile layout. You can even login, leave comments, and all that good stuff. To login, hit the little arrow in the top right.

If all goes according to plan, this blog post should show up automatically on Facebook. Since not that many people use RSS feeds to check and see if blogs get updated, this is a great way to let everyone on Facebook know that I’ve updated the blog.

Trying out a blog post via wordpress for android. Nice interface…can add pictures, publish to specific categories, and do comments and all that other stuff. Wouldn’t want to write an entire blog this way, but might be a great way to update with minor things or with small discussion items.

I love that people check facebook, but blogs seem so much more focused. It’s a pain in the butt to have discussions on facebook, but a blog can move so much slower that some time can actually be spent on a topic. I guess I need to have my blog auto-update to facebook just so people see new posts. The average person still can’t do RSS.

New Links…

Comments off

I’ve got two new links for you. One is a new blog for Kevin M. The second is a brand new blogger named Andie. And the third is for Tommy’s blog, which he’s had for a bit, but he just made his first post the other day.

I’m planning to upgrade wordpress and make some nifty changes to the blarg to keep it fresh, but for now you will have to get excited about a new plugin I put on today.

I want everyone to post a comment to this post, because if you don’t, you’ll never see the new plugin! Right now you will have 3 minutes after you comment to change what you posted. All you have to do is click on your post! This should come in handy for fixing spelling mistakes or if you decide that cussing me out wasn’t a good idea (or maybe you didn’t and it would be!), you can now go back and edit your comment before it becomes final. After the 3 mins the comment becomes permanent, but it’s nice to have the opportunity to fix them.

So post a comment and try it! If you want to add this plugin to your wordpress blog, visit the WP Ajax Edit Comments page.
