A New Routine

I don’t have anything too profound to say. Work is back in full swing, and we’re all still settling into our new routine.

In the morning we wake up at 5:50 a.m., and lucky for us the boy is sleeping through the night (and then some). We manage to eat breakfast and get ourselves all ready while he naps in his crib without a care in the world. Once I’m ready at about 6:45 a.m. I wake up Luke, and feed him his morning bottle. After that it’s a clothes change, fresh diaper, and then off to the sitter. I leave the house at 7 a.m., and I’m at work usually by 7:25 a.m. Phew! Stacie picks him up in the afternoon, and we’re usually all home by around 4 p.m.

Work is good, though it will be even better once we get those first paychecks. :)

I’m Still Here…

I survived the first short week of school, but life is pretty hectic right now. It will be nice to get back into a routine.

I’m in my own classroom this year, so that’s going to be nice. That means less time packing things up and more time to get work done. My classes all seem pretty good so far.

Dodgers are a half a game up. Woot!

I’ll be back in a while when things calm down a little.

Sarah Palin’s Daughter

Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter is five months pregnant. My initial reaction is that it’s unfortunate. I’m sure that wasn’t what her parents wanted for her. As a very new parent there are definitely things I want for my son, but I know I won’t always be able to control him. Will he make mistakes? Most certainly, and hopefully Bristol Palin considers what she did a mistake.

That being said, does that make Sarah Palin a bad parent? I wouldn’t say it does. There are a lot of people in life that make mistakes, including people that read this blog. They’re not perfect, and neither are people running for office. I think it’s great how their values are guiding what comes next. Many people would have already aborted the baby, but instead they will have a chance at life. Bristol Palin is engaged to the father, and hopefully they will have a successful and loving marriage.
