The Boy Can Sleep!

We’re pleased to report that in the last week before school starts Luke has learned how to sleep through the night. We had several nights of 8 hours in a row, followed by a 10 hour night, and last night he capped it off with a 12 hour night. It’s like he knew we were going back to work. Last night we put him down at about 8, watched a movie, he woke up around 10 and we fed him, and then he went back to sleep until 8 am.

Here’s hoping he keeps this up next week when we get back on a work schedule.

The Worst DVDs I owned?

I’m sitting here editing home movies, and while they render I sit here and wait. In case you were wondering, I’ve sold all of my dvds except for five. Here in no specific order are the five least desired movies I have:

Wayne’s World
Analyze This
Die Hard
Broken Arrow
Double Jeopardy

I’m a little surprised that Die Hard is on there…I know it’s old but I thought it was a popular one. Wayne’s World is a classic, but the other’s are all blah. It’ll probably take six months to sell the rest.

Baby Stats

I know I’m bringing the blog posts fast and furious lately, but enjoy it while it lasts.

We took Luke for his six month checkup today. He’s only 5.5 months, but we went a little early since work is starting. He is 27.25″ long, and 19lbs 11oz. Both are right around the 90th percentile. To compare, that’s bigger than I was at almost 8 months, and I was a pretty big baby.

…is now going to be the most famous! Paloma is going to be on SURVIVOR! I was reading about one of the other players, and then I saw her picture I was like no way! So not only is this season in HD, but it also has someone I know. I used to give her rides to school in High School, and she used to live on my street. This is crazy! GO PALOMA!

New season premieres on Thursday, September 25th. It’s on at 8 pm on CBS. Do I feel a survive night get together?

Here is the link to her forum page. Register and say something nice!

Heck Yes!

John McCain made a super smart decision on his running mate. Her name is Sarah Palin. I think she has some major upside over a lot of the other old men that were in the running. I think the best thing this does is make Obama look old and stale for choosing Biden, and I guarantee some disaffected Hillary supporters will jump to McCain now. Awesome choice.

Last Summer Baby Post

It’s a shame. Summer is almost over. It’s like a part of me is dying, only to be reborn anew ten months later. Despite my sorrow, I bring you the following photographs.

We’re starting to enjoy our baths a little more. We’re absolutely fascinated by the faucet and how it moves and water comes out of it.

We fell asleep in the swing the other day, but the way he’s holding his little Dodgers bear is just adorable. That’s right, I used the word adorable. Commence name calling.

Grandma and Grandpa got us a saucer! The little seat spins around 360 degrees and he can stand/bounce in the seat. The contraption directly in front of him makes animal noises. Oh, and every item on the saucer is excellent for chewing.

Luke went over to Aunt Denise and Uncle Paul’s and got to play their keyboard. Talk about a fun toy!

Technically no one in this picture is a baby, but I’ll put it here anyways. I went out to lunch the other week some buddies from High School that I hadn’t seen in a while. It’s fun to stay in touch with guys you’ve known for such a long time. I’ve known John since 1st grade!

Well there you go. Pictures. Glorious photographs. Little snapshots of moments frozen in time forever.

I forgot to post this back in May, but my AIM screename turned 10 years old! Anyone got one older?
