Today’s message was on encouragement, and I’ve been thinking about what an important thing that is in the lives of those around us.

One of the most interesting aspects of the “college years” is the transition from childhood to adulthood. After 18 years of walking in-step with the system and being taken care of by your parents, almost overnight, it all changes. You begin working towards a career, or some don’t. This seems to be the most important time for many of us when it comes to relationships and deciding who you’ll share the rest of your life with. And unlike the previous 18 years of life, there is no right or wrong answer to where your life goes at this point, but it definitly goes somewhere. No longer is everyone of the same age doing the same thing, but everyone is walking different paths, and at different speeds.

So wherever you are in relation to your friends or family, let’s encourage each other as we all figure out where the heck we’re going in life.
