In case you’ve been living in a cave the whole Summer, you should know that Heroes starts tonight at 9 pm on NBC. This is the only new show that I’ve been excited about. It looks like X-men meets normal people. It’s got the guy from Felicity, the guy from Gilmore Girls, and the girl from Final Destination. I love sci-fi stuff, and you can bet when the odd sci-fi show makes it to primetime I will give it a chance. Though I didn’t give Surface or Invasion a chance last year, which is probably why they were cut. But as I look at the Nielsen Media Research website, apparently they don’t let people volunteer. I guess posting here on this blarg will be the best way I can help out a new show. Hopefully they can’t tell I’m skipping past all their ad-revune, err, commercials.

As I was saying, my fingers are crossed that the show will be decent. I’m expecting some special effects beyond what they’ve shown in the commercials. If Smallville can show Clark flying, one of the big networks better be able to show the guy from Gilmore Girls flying, not just a camera hooked to a helicopter flying around. Don’t miss it, tonight at 9 on the peacock!

i have a timer set for it… monday nights needs another good show prison break is on at 8… wife swap is ok from time to time… but there are no good reasons to watch tv on monday nights after prison break (2.7895 men doesn’t cut it for me)

If you could sign up for Nielsen ratings, it wouldn’t be a random sample, which is important for their research.

Heroes had some cheese moments but was still watchable (the limited interruptions thanks to nissan helped), it did have a six degrees element to it… I’ll give it a couple more episodes…

Still haven’t had the motivation or time to watch studio 60… but i’m hearing plenty of good about it, hopefully this weekend i’ll get caught up (though… not expecting much because I despise matthew perry). My DVR and Internet connection have been BUSY this season so far!

Also, I don’t trust / believe in the Nielsen Ratings… I think it’s flawed and doesn’t represent well (my opinion often differs so it must be broken)!

Enjoyed Heroes. It’s officially added to the watch list. So does the painter have to be high to paint the future? I’m interested in finding out the real connection between walk-through-fire girl and her “father.”

I’m not anti-Matthew-Perry, but I am extremely anti-Chandler-Bing, which is the character he has played in everything he has done… until now. If there is any relation, it is Chandler plus 40 IQ points. He’s pulling it off nicely. And they prayed on TV. There is some guts there, in reality as well as in the fictional world they are in where they are tackling the same “crazy christians” issue. Check it out before you dismiss it.

But back to Heroes. My only beef with it is that we found out too much about the end already by seeing the painting of the explosion. Not that it tells a whole lot about how it will play out, but it is a huge lead. I kinda liked the idea of discovering along with the characters what was going on and why. But that is just me. Some people might be turned off by leaving too many questions open. And you have to market to the masses if you want to stay on TV (unfortunately).

I thought Heroes was very cool. There were some special effects and that was refreshing.

Everyone knows that you can only learn to fly completely by accident, or by attempting what would otherwise be suicide. That way, we can all still consider people who think (or once tragically thought they could fly) to be idiots. How could you not know you could fly, dummy? OR, why did that dummy jump off a building?

I love crazy japanese guy’s love for star trek. Espock-a Death-a grip-a!!!

That doppelganger chick creeps me out. How is having a Mr. Hyde dark side personality who kills people a secret power? Truth! Justice!! And…oops…I what? …With a hacksaw? EEeew…
