The true negatives about Bush are that bad. First, he led us into a war on false premises. Remember his claims of Iraq having WMD and how that was his basis for going to war? Well, we haven’t found the WMD and lots of people have died under false pretenses. An annual half a trillion dollar deficit is bad too. Not to mention extending the capital gains tax cuts when we are supposed to be fighting a war on terror. Usually, Americans are asked to make certain sacrifices while fighting a war. Oh, and not only did we maintain the capital gains tax, but we cut programs like Medicaid to do so. I’d argue cutting taxes for the rich while excluding poor people from getting basic health care is unChrist and bad policy. I will agree with you that the economy is doing well and that the economy growing and expanding is much more cyclical than the power struggles in DC.
