Mr. Miss Transgender

Take a look. A man that underwent a sex change operation is back substitute teaching for elementary students as a "woman." I could harp on the fact that he’s being called a woman when he’s not. The article says he was married for 33 years with three kids, so I assume he ruined that marriage. Instead I will focus on what really matters: the students.

A complaint given by a parent was "I, as a parent, am appalled to have this issue brought into my child’s psychology." He couldn’t be more right. How do you explain to a 6 year old that Mr. McBeth decided to have his weiner cut off, and now he is Miss McBeth? Crazy liberals would argue that you do it with love, and that children should be raised with an open-mind. A logical conservative would say, "You don’t!" A child should’nt even know about this, let alone be taught by him.

The ACLU and crazy leftists constantly shout acceptance and tolerance for everything, and it’s getting old. When did cutting your weiner off become acceptable? Am I the only on that thinks this guy is INSANE? The fact that he paid someone to cut his weiner off makes him totally unqualified to teach, or even be in the same room as children. But the ACLU will go to court and tell us that this man is not deranged or mentally unstable, he’s just "different."

If you are offended by my repeated use of the word "wiener," I would be glad to change them all to "sausage."

Heads up to Tim for the good Blarg fodder.

Free PDF Maker

I needed to save a webpage as a PDF file, so I did a little looking for a program that could print to PDF. I stumbled upon the completely free program PrimoPDF. So far it works great. It allowed me to print to the program just like it was a printer, and then let me save it as a PDF file. From what it says, it can also convert word, excel, and other documents to PDF also. The best part of all is that it’s totally free. It’s always exciting to come across a free program that actually works really well. This program has earned a place under my free software list!

I just got done watching a scary clown marching band play YMCA by the Village People in Italy. This confirms my beliefs that the closing ceremonies are entirely unnecessary.

I was able to sit through much of the opening ceremonies. First off they were broadcast in HD, and that is still cool enough to hold my attention. The second reason is that after the opening ceremonies, I know I will get to watch all sorts of cool Olympic sports. The closing ceremonies on the other hand promise nothing afterwards. Am I supposed to watch them so I can have closure? I’m not sure why I’m supposed to watch them, because it certainly isn’t for the entertaining value of the closing ceremonies themselves.

Now I’m being forced to watch Dancing With the Stars. AHHHHHHH! I can’t complain too much though, Stacie did let me stay up last night and watch Saw 2 when she went to bed. :)

Like pizza, spaghetti, or any other Italian dishes? Then come tomorrow to Frantones on Telegraph to eat! They are donating 25% of all the money that comes in to Lewis Elementary. It’s a good cause, good food, and I will be there at 7 pm!

Democrats Without A Plan

Harry Reid, the Senate Minority Leader, made some comments the other day that sum up very well what is wrong with the Democratic Party. I think there are two big things that have got them completely clueless.

1) Bush is Evil – We are in year 6 of Bush’s Presedential history, and still the best that Democrats can come up with is "Bush is Evil."  First it was the election results in Florida, and he was evil for "stealing" it! Then it was the tax cuts for the rich! Then it’s the war in Iraq, and then it’s prescription drug plans not being enough, and on and on. The Democrats number one problem is that the only message they have is that Bush is evil. It has become the party’s mantra: If Bush likes it, we don’t. The only alternative ideas the party can put forward are whatever is opposite the Republican party. They are not completely void of ideas though, which leads me to their second problem.

2) Hand Outs – Personal responsibility is something entirely foreign to Democrats. If you read the mentioned article you would see Harry Reid complaining about health care. "Not everyone has it, so let’s give it to them!" This is where the socialist ideals of the Democratic party come into play. A core belief of the Democratic party is that government exists to take care of people. That is BOGUS! It’s no wonder the national savings rate has gone negative. Democrats love to talk about how we’re going to pay for social security forever, and pay all health care costs. When did it become the government’s job to make sure I’m healthy? I don’t need your stupid social security, I can save my own money! Yet the government just hands out money like there is no tomorrow, and personal responsibility has started to disappear. People pay $2000+ a year in car insurance to drive around their leased Hummer, but they can’t pay $1000 a year for health insurance.

Those are the two main things you hear from the Democratic Party, and that is why Kerry lost in 2004. He had zero vision. Bush was evil, and let’s make more people reliant on government hand outs. George Washington and the rest of our founding fathers are surely vomiting in their grave.

Upcoming Dodger Prospects

With spring training finally getting started and daily posts to dodgers.com returning, I thought I’d take some time to talk about a team who’s farm system was just ranked #1 in baseball.

The Dodgers have a lot of good prospects in their system…enough that you could put together half a team with them.

C – Russell Martin
3B – Andy LaRouche
2B – Delwyn Young
1B – James Loney
SS – Joel Guzman
OF – Andre Ethier
SP – Chad Billingsley
SP – Greg Miller
RP – Hong-Chih Kuo
RP – Johnathan Broxton

Which of these guys will turn out to be the real deal, I don’t know, but there sure is a lot to pick from. It should also be interesting to see where people finally land if they make it to the big show. Guzman and Young are both at positions that may not be free for several years and there is talk about moving them to the outfield. I think with Furcal, and hopefully a strong return by Izturis, some outfield work for these guys would be good. Especially considering Ethier is our only big prospect in the OF, unless I’m missing one.

While I’m looking forward to this year, I can’t wait to see how things shape up over the course of several years. As young guys start to make an impact, the Dodgers can turn around and spend some money on a REAL big bat (ie not JD Drew). Young players that are making less free you up to spend more on single positions. That is why the Yankees pay out the ear…they have no farm system and want a star at every position.

It’s always exciting to watch a homegrown talent come into their own. Here’s to a ROY in the next couple seasons!

Mmmm Salami!

Right now I’m eating lunch. Not a very exciting subject, but I wanted to know what other people eat for lunch.

Today I have wheat thins, sliced pepperjack cheese, and slices of salami. It’s like a grown-up lunchable! I used to bring sandwiches to work, but I got tired of that. Along with my meat and cheese I always bring some chips. Usually I have some sort of Doritos, but this week I have Funyuns! To wash it all down I have a healthy water. Now and then I will also bring a cookie. Oooooh.

So what does everyone else eat for lunch? This is really the first time since High School that I have a had a set schedule during the week. I remember in High School I brought ritz crackers and squeezy cheese. At one point I had like 15 bottles of squeezy cheese prominently displayed in my room. Why? Because stupid things like squeezy cheese are cool in High School!

I Found the Answers!

Most of you will probably have no idea what I’m talking about, but that’s ok. Tonight we went to Catholic church, and if you’ve never been, they sort of have a secret code. Everybody says the same stuff at the same time every week, and you have to go through Catechism to learn it and know when to say everything. This week though I was looking through the hymnal, and guess what….I found the answers! The stuff that people say every week that makes it all seem like a secret club, well all the answers are right there in the hymnal! It tells you exactly what to say, I was so excited. I didn’t actually say it with everyone else, but I did feel like I had beat the system. "mwhauaha, I didn’t even have to go to some classes to figure out the secret handshake. I win!"
