In case you haven’t seen my profile…

samantha johnson: there is a plumber at my house and he keeps on staring and smiling at me =-O
nathan118: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My body must have needed some catch up, because I slept for 3.5 hours this afternoon. I guess that was good, except I totally missed Random Acts of Kindness, but it sounded like they had a good time.

I started watching the first season of 24. Usually I watch all my taped shows from the week during the weekend, but everything was a re-run. I’m diggin’ the concept.

I’m now 10-21 in my MVP baseball season. Yes, that’s horrible, but I’ve been doing better lately. Finally getting up to playing .500 ball. It’s still way fun to lose. I have a baseball game on gameboy that I went like 145-17…it was way too easy.

We put the offer on the house on Saturday…but they have 3 business days to respond, so that starts tomorrow. So far I’m not too stressed. I keep telling myself we aren’t going to get it, and so if we really don’t, I won’t be disappointed. Here’s hoping we hear something tomorrow!

My test is less than a week away. I think I’m going to take two days this week to study for it. I can’t wait to get it over with. I’m bummed though, I’ll miss a lot of Lori and Angelo’s wedding. :( Dumb test doesn’t start until 2 pm!

Time for bed.

Our Offer Is In!

Stacie and I put an offer on that townhouse today. If I understand correctly, they have 3 business days to respond. They can either say go away we don’t want you, they can counter back with a modified deal, or just accept it. So we’ll see what happens. You don’t want to get too excited because nothing is final, but then you have to be excited enough to want to get it. I’ll keep you posted, but if you could pray for us that would be way awesome. Thanks!

Is It Really That Close?

So the last couple days have seen our search for a place of residence really intesify. Over the last couple months we’ve been able to narrow down what we can afford, and then from that what we want.

A few days ago a new listing popped up that really met our criteria. We looked yesterday, and it was in very nice condition. It’s a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom townhouse. It has a nice living room and dining area, and a small backyard/porch for the puppy. Our parents are going to take a look tomorrow, and I think we’re most likely going to make an offer on it. How scary is that? Next to getting married, it’s one of those ultimate grown-up things. Yikes.

Here are a few pictures.

So maybe I wasn’t famous, but my picture is on the front of every general catalog sold at CSULA between 2003-2005. Pretty stinkin’ awesome! It’s so sad though…pretty soon they’ll have a new catalog and I’ll be forgotten forever!

My Mug

This article is about how wireless internet could bring the web to people in South Africa via cell phone. You should read the article, but I saw something that just seemed backwards to me.

“The ultra-modern services, marketed at the tech-savvy in the west, could soon be beaming football scores, weather forecasts, video and music to slums and villages in a continent where almost half the population has never made a phone call.”

No offense to the people in South Africa, but it sounds like some parts need to go through the Industrial Age before they join the Information Age.

Life is Good…

My big test is now less than two weeks away. To aid in studying I just marked several days in the next two weeks “unavailable” for substituting, and a thought occurred to me. My life has never been busier or more stressful than it is right now. With school, work, testing, marriage, house buying and church…I’ve got plenty of reasons to be a basket case.

But thank GOD I’m not. It is my faith alone that keeps me together. Christ isn’t something you only experience on Sundays. He’s not a historical figure you pledge allegiance to. When he changes your life he invades it. He doesn’t wave goodbye when you leave church, because he’s going with you. Our lives, decisions, and attitudes change fundamentally. Everything we do is seen through the greater lens of Jesus Christ. That changes our values, our outlook on life, and our ability to deal with day to day life.

Knowing Christ and being joyful should be one in the same.

Girl Scout Sunday!

Yay for me. I’m off to St. Dominic Savio for Girl Scout Sunday. The girls sing, carry in the flag I think, and help with the service. Afterwards we’re going to Soup Plantation, so it should be fun. My body really wanted to sleep in though, but I’m awake. Guess I’ll have to do that another time.

You MUST read this, it’s HILARIOUS! If you observe lent, please don’t be offended, but this is beyond funny. Go read it, NOW!
