Stumbled on this today. It’s a way cool 3D Windows Screensaver. If you’ve got a decent computer you should check this out, it’s gorgeous.

There are certain times and events in your life that flat out make you feel older. Graduating from pampers, A-B-C-D-F grading in 4th grade, starting High School, getting your license….you get the idea. For me, getting engaged and planning a wedding has been quite a “maturing” experience. Even more so than getting married is something else Stacie and I are about to start doing: finding a place to live! The other day I called a mortgage lender. I’m not sure, but the whole buying a house things is more sobering than getting married. Maybe since Stacie and I have been going out for four years the whole marriage thing isn’t as big of a shocker. But buying a house, that seems like a huge commitment. Yes, I realize it sounds like I’m saying it’s a bigger commitment than getting married, but I’m not. There’s just something about buying a house that makes you go “whoa, I’m like an adult now.” Haha, go figure.
Stacie and I saw “In Good Company” tonight. It has the redhead guy from That 70′s show, the girl from Lost in Translation that was boring, and Dennis Quaid. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil anything.
It’s basically a romantic comedy with some “feel goodness” thrown in. I also enjoyed it because it was realistic. So many times Hollywood movies are far fetched or too good to be true, but this movie dances to it’s own drum.
It’s not laugh outloud funny in many parts, but you’ll leave with a smile on your face. PG-13 for some choice language. I give it 3 stars.
I started reading this book recently, and so far it’s awesome. The idea of a huge epics series sounded fun, sort of in the spirit of Lord of the Rings. This is book one in an epic six book series, of which the fourth book is to be released in July. So far it appears to be a great fantasy story full of action, betrayl, love, and war. The first 50 pages were daunting as character after character was introduced, but now that I am familiar with them, I’ve become engrossed in the story. It might have been wise of me to not start reading until all six books were out.
Take a look over at amazon to read more about A Game of Thrones.
On my way to Griffiths the other morning I saw this sweet sunrise. I fumbled to get my camera out, made sure I didn’t run into anything, and was able to snap this picture. I’ve been reading up on how to take better pictures, and there’s lots of information out there. I’ve been fooling with depth of field, which leaves your subject in focus, but blurs the background. It’s a cool effect. Now I just need to find something to use it with.
