Burn Radio

Every Monday evening myself, and sometimes Chris Luna, make complete fools of ourself. We interview famous celebrities, discuss the tapeworm epidemic, muse about upcoming Burn events, and chit chat about life in general. It’s really a spectacle to behold, and you can download it this very moment. Just head on over to theburn.com to download this weeks newest radio show.

I can say without a doubt that I’m busier than I’ve ever been before. Between working, school, getting ready for a wedding, and deciding where to live…there just aren’t enough hours in the day. It’s exciting stuff, but everything at once is a lot to handle. I think the key is finding small amounts of time to relax and just put everything else aside. To sit back and know that everything will get done in due time, and worrying about it won’t help. These next six months are going to be insane, and I’ll be glad when they’re over. In the meantime, I’ll be coming up for air as often as possible.

If you’re ever stuck in a life or death situation in which snow has blocked off all methods of escape…you might do what this man did. Then again, carrying around 60 bottles of beer at all times would be extreme. Maybe big gallon containers of water? :p

First Week of Class

Unlike all you sad Junior Highers and High Schoolers, I didn’t have to go back to school until this last week. My classes seem ok…not too hard, but not that exciting either. One of my classes is called Adolescent Development, so I’m going to learn all about you guys, haha. I just bought my books online used and saved $90 over the bookstore, which was sweeet.

I was bored so I sold a bunch of stuff on Ebay. I sold my old cell phone, and all my dreamcast and n64 stuff. I know I know….”nathan, how could you sell videogames!?!? ahhhhh!” Truth is I haven’t played them in forever, and they just take up space. Who knows, maybe in 30 years I’ll regret it…but they’d all be broken in 30 years anyways, haha. And in 30 years they’ll all be perfectly emulated on a PC. :D

I’m still sick, but not quite as bad as a day or two ago. I’ve come to accept that colds come on quickly, but never leave in the same fashion. I figure I’ll be carrying around some sniffles for at least another 4-5 days. That’s how it has seemed to work in the past.

Ok, I’m going to go mail my Dreamcast, and then sit at Quiznos in the rain reading my book.

Booo Being Sick!

I’m sick as a dog…but not a healthy dog, a sick one. People never qualify that. This is the first time I’ve had to cancel a subbing job because I was sick. Usually being sick is just annoying, but right now I’m miserable. I need to get dressed and go to target and buy up all their Dayquill and Nyquill. In my experience it’s the only medicine that really does anything. I was sucking on a sore throat lozenge earlier and realized how dumb a concept that is. Every 5 seconds you have to SWALLOW to make it work, and everytime you SWALLOW it freakin’ hurts. That’s a genius idea.

Manhattan Portage PACK

First of all, I would like to stress that this is a PACK, not a BAG. Ok, now that my manhood is intact, my current Old Navy backpack is literally dying, so I decided it was time to upgrade. This bag looked stylish yet professional. Hoping I can use it for school and work. They have some cool bags, you should check it out. They’re called Manhattan Portage. This is the Europa model. They’re a little pricey, but JanSport didn’t have anything cool like this, and some reviews I read made it sound like it should last for years and years. Crossing my fingers!

We’re Pre-Approved!

Not to wear you all out, but Stacie and I got pre-approved for a home loan! We went in, the guy checked our credit, looked at all our financials, and an hour later….BAM, we can buy a house! Now granted, we actually have to go out and find the house, but it’s scary knowing we can do it at all. Not to beat the “wow, I’m an adult” horse anymore, but it’s the weirdest feeling. One of those rare occasions when you feel both scared and excited at the exact same time. Kinda like a first kiss probably, just more expensive. And you have to live there…and you can’t live in someone’s mouth…

Haha, I Have Ads Now!

Out of both boredom and curiosity, I now have a little ad bar running on the page. I wish it was a little more exciting, like with colors and pictures or something. Anyways, I’m sure you all want to click on “Save Canadian Wildlife” haha. If it’s really lame I’ll just take it off. :D
