So this crazy lady posed as a Saudi-Princess, got American Express to give her a huge credit allowance, and then racked up a million dollars in charges. Then when she can’t pay for it, she sues American Express saying it was their fault for not recognizing that she was mentally ill.

There is nothing more annoying in society than people who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. I hope she goes down.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving today. I was reminded recently how in many ways, Thanksgiving is a better holiday than Christmas. On Thanksgiving people travel hundreds of miles to see their family just to be together and eat good food, no presents involved. On Christmas though we get caught up in buying things and it’s all about us. Of course that’s not the attitude we have to take on Christmas, but I just like the fact that Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks and be grateful for what we’ve been blessed with. I hope we can all take that same attitude going into Christmas and make it the unselfish holiday it was meant to be.

Get a Free iPod

So I saw an article about this deal probably six months ago. This is a totally legit deal and tons of people have gotten a free iPod for doing this. It’s simple:

1) Complete one "offer."
2) Get 5 friends to complete one "offer" each.
3) Get a free iPod.

I started this about a week ago, but I waited to post until I thought it was legit. I successfully completed my one "offer" and now I just need to refer five other people. The offer I completed was a piece of cake. It’s called "Real Rhapsody," and all I had to do was sign-up for it, then call and cancel, and a week later I received credit for it. To make it even easier for you, I’ve got the cancellation number right here. So here’s what to do.

1) Go sign up for a free iPod and use this link to refer me.
2) Find the Real Rhaposdy sign-up (or another if you think there is an easier one) and complete the offer. Most are just free trials which you can sign-up for and cancel. Most require a credit card.
3) If you do the Real Rhapsody one, then call 1-866-834-5509 from 9am – 9pm EST Mon-Fri, or 10:30am – 8pm EST Sat-Sun and cancel.

And that’s all. Then wait about a week and you should receive an email notifying you that your offer was completed. The email was actually marked as spam by my gmail, so watch for it. Then you just have to get 5 people to sign up and YOU get a free iPod! If you’re gonna try it post a comment. It’s super easy!!

Good Weekend

I’m still sick, but I had a good weekend. Friday night I went with Stacie and her parents to see the Polar Express. It was enjoyable even if the animation bugged me. I still have to see the Incredibles though. On Saturday Stacie and I got to meet with Richard to talk about wedding photo stuff, and then we went over to Scott and Linda’s for a little get together. There house is really cute. After that I spent a whole lot of time researching Real Estate stuff, trying to determine what Stacie and I can get approved for and afford, and what is out there at those prices. The wedding is only 7.5 months away…so figure if we need to start actively looking for houses a couple months before that…it’s really not that far away. Then you need to get pre-approved and all that other stuff, so yeah, lots to do! Oh, and Scott is going to officiate our wedding, so that’s another thing accomplished! Ok, back to taking some zinc and nyquill.

New Cell Number

When I originally signed up with T-Mobile, it turns out they gave me a Los Alamitos number. It was (562) area code, but far enough from Downey that it was a toll call. I had to get a new cell number in Downey, so email or IM me if you want it.

Bad Cold

I’ve got a little head cold I’m trying to beat. I went to Sav-Ons last night and bought some ammo. I got that Cold-Eeze stuff everyone talks about, some nyquill, and some good sore throat lozenges. Hopefully it all does wonders and I’m not miserable all weekend. Stacie has done a great job of putting up with me. :)

Super Busy Week Update

It’s now Wednesday, so my Super Busy Week is now half over. I presented last night in class…I had to do a lesson on absolute value. I think it went pretty good. All my classmates gave good evaluations, but I have no idea what the teacher thought. Now I just have to type a paper and get ready for another presentation tomorrow night.

Last night I also got a take home final that’s due in two weeks, and I should be getting another take home final anytime now. Why do I get the feeling that the business won’t end this week? :D
