It’s been a year and a half since I had a routine school schedule, and it’s weird getting back into the swing of things. Going to school two nights a week, doing homework, and having tests. It all seems so foreign, but at the same time welcome. I feel like I’m finally on my way to being a teacher and closer to having a career. Now to just bare down and get all the hardwork done so I can get there. Bring it on.

Earlier today President Bush made a comment that the war on terror cannot be won, and now Democrats are going nuts. What the Democrats aren’t addressing is the nature of the war on terror. Instead of shouting “President Bush doesn’t think we can win,” they should stop and look at the second part of his comment: “you can create conditions so that those who use terror as a tool are less acceptable in parts of the world.” The nature of the war on terror is such that it can’t be “won,” because it’s ongoing. People that hate us (primarily Islam extremists), will keep hating us, and we’ll never get rid of all of them that want to do us harm. What we can do however is get rid of and pressure governments that harbor these people.

I liken the war on terror to a police force fighting gang violence. Will they ever wipe out every gang completely? Probably not, but they can still bust people, and they can empower the neighborhoods where the gangs flourish. A free Iraq can be an anti-terrorist Iraq.

Kerry on Iraq

Confused on what Kerry’s stance on Iraq is? Don’t worry, so is he. Watch this video and see what Kerry’s stance on Iraq is as shown in his own words.

Kerry on Iraq

Note that this is MUCH more convincing than Fahrenheit 9/11. It uses Kerry’s own words instead of using twisted voice overs.

Who Are the Real Protestors?

Starting today we can witness the great onslaught of anti-Bush protestors in New York for the Republican National Convention. I don’t blame the media for covering the protestors, but I do blame them for not accurately representing them. The average viewer might assume that the people protesting are intelligent and pro-active, just out to make sure their voice is heard. However, if we look back at some recent protests of the war in Iraq, the people against Bush probably aren’t your normal Democrats. In fact, they’re probably Ralph Nader fans, because as you’re about to see, most protestors are even farther left than John Kerry. Most are socialist, some appear to have extreme mental disorders, a lot are hippies who miss the 70′s, and all of them make for great interviews. Check out the links below for some very telling videos from recent protests in the last couple years.

There might be a little language in one or two of those, so you’re warned!

Rushmore. The Royal Tenenbaums. And now The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I love Wes Anderson films and this one looks great as well. Check out the trailer here. This is one of the few movies I’m looking forward to the rest of this year. Anyone else know some good ones coming up?

Air America = Confused

If you’ve never heard of Air America Radio, it’s basically radio for the Left, with Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo among others. It appears they don’t know their own website address. Guess they’re too busy trying to get Kerry in office. Check it out at Rich Watch here.

Bush VS Kerry on Google

Today I thought, what can searches about each candidate tell us about the people who support them? Using Google I’ve searched several different phrases to see what is out there on the WWW. I used quotes to find exact phrase matches. This study is in no way meant to be scientific.

There you go folks, a glimpse of what people on the web think about our candidates. There seems to be more name calling on the anti-Bush side, but that’s just a guess. ;)
